MEP Testing & Commissioning Engineer

  Job Description

  • General responsibilities
    • Respect and Promote strict compliance with EHS rules, local regulation
    • Deploy standard T&C processes
    • Ensure a good working relationship with the other departments (Engineering, Construction, Quality, Supply Chain)
    • Provide technical support and expertise to serial testing team
    • Manage the project T&C QCD (financial and operational targets)
    • Acquire a clear and exhaustive understanding of the Customer Acceptance Criteria.
    • Perform the systematic hand-over from Manufacturing
    • Manage the convergence of all tasks required within the T&C part of the project
    • Manage the interface with the customer with respect to all T&C issues
    • Ensure Commissioning execution on customer site Test Engineering

    • Develop appropriate risk analysis, mitigation plan and associated EHS procedures
    • Manage the development of test documentation, procedures in configuration with the applicable configuration
    • Manage the development of all necessary tools (physical and IT) required for test execution and test management
    • Manage the development and/or adaptation of the facilities and infrastructure for test execution
    • Ensure the timely deployment of test procedures, tools, infrastructure
    • Ensure proper operation follow-up and establishment of relevant KPI

    Serial Testing

    • Ensure appropriate staff recruitment, deployment, rotation and turn-over
    • Manage serial testing team organization
    • Manage training and accreditation of T&C staff
    • Ensure timely execution of serial testing and associated troubleshooting
    • Ensure delivery of proper documentation after test execution
    • Ensure strict compliance with EHS rules and regulations within testing workshop and dynamic test track

    Contribute strongly to local recruitment and training of T&C team as well as to subsequent ramp-up

    • Other job functions as required by management

Educational Requirements:

· Degree in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering
Desired Knowledge / Experience & Behavior:

Experience:

Min 5 years’ experience in commissioning and testing of Electrical / Control / PLC systems.

Knowledge:

• Be familiar with high risk activities in association with Electrical work and EHS requirements
• Have a good understanding of key electrical and/or mechanical processes (in particular earthing & bonding, cabling, protection and instrumentation, …)
• A solid understanding of power electronics will be beneficial
• IT proficient

Ability to read electrical schematics and to write application software (if required).
